We welcome community minded volunteers to join in organizing the parade . You can sign up to volunteer by completing a membership application for the Bluegrass Irish Society.
While the Lexington St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Festival is produced by Lexington’s Parks and Recreation Department, it is sponsored by the Bluegrass Irish Society. Volunteers maintain all parade records, or confirmations, organize the line of march, provide portable toilets for parade participants, provide parade marshals for crowd control and coordination with police, reviewing stand volunteers, refreshments and master of ceremonies. These activities are done with funds provided by our generous sponsors and parade entry fees. Club members provide their own communications and parade transportation.
