
Following the cancellation of the Lexington St. Patrick’s Day parade due to severe weather and high wind advisories, organizers have announced the performance lineup for the festival, now relocated to the Lyric Theatre. The event, held on Saturday, will feature a variety of local talent, including Irish dance, pipe bands, and musical groups.
The festival will begin at 10:15 a.m. with the Blessing of the Keg and the following performance schedule:
- 10:30 a.m. – Kentucky United Pipes & Drums
- 10:45 a.m. – Bluegrass Ceili Academy
- 11:15 a.m. – Unique Stars Majorette Hip Hop
- 11:30 a.m. – Saint Andrew’s Academy Boys Choir
- 12 p.m. – William Sutherland Reid Pipes & Drums
- 12:15 p.m. – McTeggart Irish Dancers
- 12:45 p.m. – Tribute to Fr. Norman Fischer (stage reset)
- 1:15 p.m. – Draper Family Band
- 2 p.m. – Celtic Blue, with special guest Kris Bentley of Sundy Best
The celebration continues on St. Patrick’s Day, Monday, March 17, with a performance by Scythian at Transylvania University at 7 p.m. Tickets are available at transy.edu/tickets.
